Armour

My vision of a semi-practical body armour for regular military troops. This armour focuses on increasing the mobility and durability of the soldier on the battlefield hence provides armour in particularly the sensitive areas while leaving some areas open for increased mobility and some measure of comfort while trying to move limbs. The mask is actually full of microprocessors which link to the laser scope and antennae mounted on the side of the head and provides increased range and various communication methods. I opted to place a central thruster on the back instead of the feet since I think it'd be difficult to control feet thrusters if you're not focused on keeping your feet steady and opposing the strain of the rocket thrust. Plus, placing fuel on the legs would weigh down movement more than carrying it on the back. Think of if hikers carried their equipment on their legs instead of their backs...
Still more to consider for this before I'm satisfied....

90 mins_Nozomi

One of the characters from a failed attempt at a webcomic three years ago when I was still learning several things regarding working on a computer to digitally enhance art and before I had the tablet. Not that the tablet has granted me magical skills however working digitally with it is (in my opinion) far more sane than scanning and using a mouse. Not to mention cheaper than replacing pens and paper all the time.

Nozomi was a character that was never given much thought besides that she never took the protagonist's worries very seriously even though they were longtime friends. In one version of the story, she's fiercely protective of the protagonist and in the other she doesn't really seem to get it. As a result, I was very lost when trying to capture a mood for this drawing. Basically just feels like a generic drawing of a woman.

60 mins_ Wanderer

Had a few distractions but I decided to challenge myself to an hour of character designing since I really suck at it. This here popped into my head as soon as I gave myself the challenge.
He's a wanderer type guy who lives on an alternate Earth which had been devastated when a comet passed way too close. Humanity has changed entirely and strange mists surround many ground and sea-level areas. For this reason, most people have decided to live on raised platforms or in airborne citadels. Some are brave enough to live on the land like their ancestors but the mist holds strange secrets and can have life-altering effects on those who come in contact with it. Only the insane dare venture underground and face the hordes of horrors which now call there home.

Our guy here is an inbetweener and since he's not fortunate enough to afford a life of comfort in the citadels or mountain-cities, he makes his living being a treasure hunter, trying to regain items of various worth to whom would offer a job as well as find things that may help his life become easier. I should probably have given him more travelling/hiking equipment but suffice to say, he's an oldhand at this and has his belongings stashed away when he goes foraging.
On his person at most times though is a high-powered photon blaster he took from a dead space marine and a cobbled together cane with a light attached to the top.

His name? I'm not sure yet.
